Can anyone of you relate to reactionary parenting?
Maybe your child is moving too slow, talking back, developing an attitude, won’t eat their veggies …..or just doing something you told them a million times NOT 👏🏾 TO 👏🏾 DO 👏🏾!
Maybe it’s just my child. And my reaction is not always the best. It leaves me feeling so ashamed and disappointed in myself.
If that is you, please don’t beat yourself up. You’re not alone. Please chime in and share your experiences (JUDGMENT FREE ZONE)
The word of God remind us …
Proverbs 15:1-2
A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
That scripture could not be more real!!!! When I respond in anger it just escalates the situations more and now everyone is angry.
My amazing sister (Rocquel Rocky Bedford) shared this video with me. It encouraged and convicted me all at the same time.
It is an interview of two boy moms that wrote a book called “Triggers”. They also have an audio version.
Let’s come out of the shadows of shame and talk about it.
Also to check out this Mom-versation I had a with Ericka Webb. She shares some tips on Spirit led discipline that are phenomenal.
